Wet and Wild Okoboji

Blast off started with a sprinkle that turned into a 40min. full blown northern Iowa belly washer, then as quick as it dumped on us it was gone. The day turned out to be over cast and a nice day for fishing.......until high noon that is. Here it came again, another 45min wash down. The rain stopped just in time for the weigh-in, and the teams brought in the bounty!
New team members Jim & Eileen Grave was a very welcome sight to the series as they have been fishing tournaments in Iowa for as many years as anyone in Iowa that I can remember. A very class act, they held up to the challenge turning in a full bag that weighed 14.64 with a 4.40 kicker. The husband/wife team also took home the RSC Equipment Rental BIG BASS money.
Second place today was no newcomers to the series with a hard charge in the point standings, Mr.Big Stick Dave Weaverling with a bag of bass worth 11.18lbs.
Third place was also new team consisting of Doug Bolinger and Tim Leibrand based out of northern Iowa. They turned in a bag weighing 10.20. Also great to have you guys in the series.
Fourth place went to Paris Humm and Nick Siepker from team Outlaw rods with a weight of 7.96lbs .
Fifth place went to team Tattoo's Adam Arnold and Zack O'brian with a weight of 6.24.
Would like to send out a special Thanks to Ryan Hale and his son Cole of Hale's Guide Service for the Spinning real give away and getting us hooked up with Rick Diccus from KSCJ 620 Radio out of Sioux City for the advertising ! You guys Rock!
And last but not Least Blue Water LED for yet another box of Live Well & Rod box Lights. The guys all hang around for that Give away !Things are getting brighter here at Hawgs Bass Series, Thanks Mike from every one at Hawgz.
The next stop in the tournament trail is August 10th Back to Brushy Creek, See you all their. the Director
