I THINK THEY ARE CANCELLING CAUSE A NUMBER OF TEAMS DIDNT WANT TO DRIVE BACK UP NORTH AFTER THE TOURNAMENT, WE WERE READY AND PROBABLLY WILL STILL FISH ON SUNDAY NOT SUPPOSE TO BE AS BAD DOWN THERE

Rain and snow, becoming all snow after 1pm. Some thunder is also possible. Areas of blowing snow after 1pm. High near 38. Windy, with a north northeast wind between 20 and 29 mph, with gusts as high as 38 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. That would put the wind chill at 24 degrees
I know I wouldn't want to be towing my boat in a blizzard.
Conducting a weigh in in a blizzard would be a treat as well

I have fished in bass tournaments for over 20 years, and have had to endure conditions from ice storms to tornados. It sure does add a little excitement to the event! And with that being said, I have to tip my hat to the decision made by the directors of the series. We were prepared to come and fish, and would have been there with our winter gear on, but the weather forecast was going to be too bad for some to want to risk the trip. I don't blame them one bit.
I also have no desire to fish a tournament with only 5 or 6 so called "die hards" showing up who thought they were better than anyone else because they were willing to risk their lives on the road to catch a fish !
It is true, the weatherman usually can't get it right. Especially when trying to predict weather a few days out. Sunday could have been a beautiful day. But look at it this way. He could have erred the other way as well, and it could be worse. If you want to risk the weather and fish somewhere on Sunday, then by all means go for it. I might even try myself. But that is my decision, and mine alone. It does not have to weigh on the minds of the tournament Directors, then ,if I send my boat trailer into a ditch if the weather takes a turn.
Either way, what was done was in the interest of our own safety, and I for one appreciate the thought. Thank you Joe, and everyone else!

i will let u know how it goes darrin, what do you want me to tell the other teams that morning, im just a little upset cause were basing this off of a weather prediction. and had i known that my choices of going to missouri would have been different. no hard feelings, never meant it to be that way

hawk26...with all due respect, we did not postpone this tournament based on who could or could not attend...there were many factors that determined the final decision. Safety for everyone was at the top of the list
The make up date is Sunday, May 17th...hope to see you there.
